Field hockey: Perkiomen Valley blanks Methacton behind Miller, Gaffney; Upper Perkiomen wins 4th straight

Perkiomen Valley 1, Methacton 0 – Chloe Miller scored off a corner assist from Lauren Keyte in the second half and the Vikings 'D' did the rest in posting the PAC Liberty decision Wednesday.
PV goalie Liz Gaffney anchored a shutdown defensive effort with 20 saves, many of them highlight-reel caliber. Methacton goalie Gaby DiPrinzio was also outstanding at the opposite end, finishing with 8 saves.

Upper Perkiomen 4, Pennridge 1 – The Indians improved to 4-1-1 with the nonleague triumph – their fourth straight triumph - keyed by a balanced scoring attack that featured four different goal scorers and a strong defensive performance keyed by goalie Lynnsi Joyce (8 saves).
